What makes you love this?
Making music and teaching music is a way of life - and indeed, it IS my life. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than impacting people's lives through music instruction and performance. I consider it a gift and a privilege to be a successful musician who is able to share this special art form and motivate and inspire others to be passionate about it as well.
What's the neatest thing you've done in this field?
I've been teaching privately for 30 years, and have raised my three children to all become professional musicians. Countless students of mine have gone into careers in music or have simply grown personally and intellectually through my motivational and inspirational teaching and philosophy.
What's the coolest thing you helped a client do?
One of my students was the firstin his family to go to college- and I helped him win large scholarships to prestigious university music business programs as a result of my mentoring. Another high school student has won numerous national and international awards, performed in Carnegie Hall twice, soloed with orchestras, and is a National Merit Scholarship SemiFinalist, and AP Scholar with Distinction.
My adult students range from Doctors to Lawyers, Yoga Instructors, Artists, Bankers, all seeking the challenge of learning or re-learning to play the piano, and experiencing the beauty of classical music in their lives.
